Let It Go!
Starting over? Getting to know a man all over again? So much time invested what if something goes wrong? All the questions that a woman ask herself when meeting a new man. All the stereotypes and opinions are spoken and rationalize. The question game, "What's your type?", "How many girls you talk to now?", "What are you looking for right now?". All theses steps for a man that won't make it pass the second phone conversation. But what if the tables really turned and "Mr. Perfect" walked into your life? What do you do, be open to this situation and dive in heads first or wait and try to predict his every move. Well honestly, I don't know the answer to that question. All I know is as single woman we sit around and pray for that one special man to come along, and once he does we ruin it. We have to be open to new people, think of every new man you meet as an adventure. No matter if its good or bad your still going to learn something from it-- so embrace it. Don't be scared of what can happen, be scared if you don't let it happen. Somebody once told me, " Your single because God isn't ready to share you yet", so don't block your blessing because every blessing is a lesson in disguise...be open and get ready, because he's coming...

Poem Of The Day
Still I Rise
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops. Weakened by my soulful cries.
Does my haughtiness offend you? Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.
You may shoot me with your words,You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds, At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history's shame I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clearI rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise I rise I rise.

Poem Of The Day
Phenomenal Woman
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,They think I'm telling lies.
I say,It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips,The stride of my step,The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman, Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
I walk into a roomJust as cool as you please,
And to a man, The fellows stand orFall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,A hive of honey bees.I say,It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman, Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
Men themselves have wonderedWhat they see in me.
They try so muchBut they can't touchMy inner mystery.
When I try to show them, They say they still can't see.
I say,It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,The ride of my breasts,The grace of my style.
I'm a woman, Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
Now you understandJust why my head's not bowed.I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passingIt ought to make you proud.I say,It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman,Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Looking In the Mirror- Fighting My Own Reflection
Loving me…I always thought that being able to love was a blessing (and I still do). A blessing that you can’t see or feel physically, something so deep that it had to be invisible and felt with the heart. I understand now the true meaning of love, and GUESS WHAT I've never been in love. But I am a true witness to it and now I know all things are possible no one is exempt from life and its lessons…Realizing that you have no power over your emotions because they are linked to your heart…but accepting that you have complete power on your mind and decisions you make. Your heart tells you yes but your mind tells you no. Which one do you follow? Knowing me....Who knows you better then yourself? Nobody. Its okay to get advice from other people its also okay to let people voice their opinion about situations you invite them into. It is not okay to accept advice and worry about what people think about what your doing in your life. ITS YOUR LIFE! So live it no one else has to live with the results from decisions, only you. It is okay to make mistakes and learn from them its not okay to keep making the same mistake, life is a revolving door either you walk in and learn from your mistake or you walk out and repeat the same mistake. You choose. Accepting me...You have to accept that there will be obstacles and situations that will mold you into the person you are today. You are you no matter what you do or say....cuz you are FOREVER yours so always LOVE you first and others later..

**Living and Learning**
Relationships are one of the hardest and confusing things ever. I hear people wish for one on a daily basis (ME..LOL) or say that they are ready for one. A lot of people say "just be patience, don't rush it your time is coming", but that one person that you are waiting for never comes when you want them to. I do believe that everybody has somebody that they are supposed to be with, your soul mate. Right? In order to get to this one right person you have go through a million wrong people. And it's always the wrong person that you can’t let go of. Not saying that there is something wrong with finding out what's right for you, but why does the cost of that have to be a broken heart?I can relate to wanting a person and not being able to have them or see them the way you want to, and only when it's convenient for them. Hearing all the right stuff but at the wrong time. Convincing yourself that things will change and get better, but in the back of your mind they don't. Liking this person so much that just the thought of them pisses you off because it could never be what YOU want it to be.This year I have witnessed some of most devastating situations (that made me think twice about wanting a relationship) that I thought I would never see. I can’t pretend that everything is good but I can’t say that everything all is bad in relationships. But I can say everything happens for a reason, and that if you keep going through the same thing with the same person then it’s a lesson you need to get outta it; and hopefully things will change but in all reality what do you do when things don't change? Everybody is so quick to say "Well if it was me I would do this and that or Girl just leave him alone...” But they never say if it makes you happy, then keep doing. <--Why? Have you ever noticed how many people know the answers to your problems, but can't figure out the solutions to their own problems? <---Crazy huh? I do believe that God puts people in your life for a reason and if you try to stop talking to a person and they keep coming back---What does that tell you? Don’t fight it and lie to yourself because you never know what can happen ---forget what everybody else opinion is because at the end of day the only important element of your life is “YOUR HAPPINESS”. You can be in what you think is the worst situation in the world and try everyday to fix it—but the ONLY way to have COMPLETE control over a situation is to realize you have no CONTROL at all….HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU HUMILATE YOURSELF..
